1. ta’limiy maqsad – o‘quvchilarga o’zbek folklor musiqasi haqida ilmiy bilim berish, ularga mavzu yuzasidan yangi tushunchalar hosil qilish;
2. tarbiyaviy maqsad - o‘quvchilarda Vatanparvarlik tuyg‘usini shakllantirish, har qanday vaziyatda ham o‘zini tuta oladigan, o‘rtoqlari va o‘qituvchisi oldida odob doirasida ish yurita oladigan, o‘z fikrini ochiq va erkin bayon qila oladigan shaxs sifatida tarbiyalash;
